Move Update: Are You Ready?

Your postal discounts are in jeopardy if you are not prepared to comply with the USPS Move Update Standard change coming November 23.

Starting on that day, all addresses you use will need to be confirmed within the past 95 days, for discounts on First Class and Standard Mail rates.

Why

Last year USPS processed 44 million address change requests and spent about $1.5 billion on forwarding and returning undeliverable-as-addressed mail. Move Update will reduce this costly and time-consuming problem.

Five Options

Starting November 23, 2008 all addresses receiving postage discounts on First Class and Standard Mail will be required to have been updated within the last 95 days of presenting mail to the post office. Your 5 options to comply with this processing are:

National Change of Address (NCOA)
FAST Forward (Letter Mail only)
Address Change Service (ACS)
Move Update Alternate Process (MUAP)
Ancillary Service Endorsement.

DLT Is Ready

The Equifax and Acxiom files and the Dun and Bradstreet business file we offer we offer are NCOA’d quarterly. That puts you in automatic compliance. We offer a current "compliance report" with your order.

If the list you want to use is not within the compliance period, we offer NCOA services to qualify your list. Always use "Or Current Resident/Business" to increase deliverability.

Good news: All your files from DLT are already DPV (Delivery Point Verification) compliant.

If you are renting the consumer or business list for unlimited usage for 1 year, ask your representative to give you a quote on NCOA'ing your data.
